JUST SAY NO!
As the World Leader in natural sports the INBA is proud of the effort it has made over the last decade to offer athletes
a competitive venue in which they can be assured a fair and even playing field. At the INBA we are dedicated to the
natural athlete and take the topic of drug testing very seriously.
In fact as you probably already know the INBA adheres to the IOC (International Olmypic Committee) standards and
the tests are conducted by WADA (World Anti Doping Agency). Also in an effort to discourage an athlete from trying to circumvent any of the drug testing procedures we conduct, if an athlete fails one of our drug tests his or her results are
posted publicly on the INBA web site for the world to see.
First and foremost the responsibility is yours. The purpose for this letter is to clarify, you. the athletes responsibility. It
has become increasingly difficult to stay on top of the new and ever changing combinations of illegal performance
enhancing and diet drugs. That, we leave up to WADA and their expertise. What we are asking our athletes to do is
to stay informed and educated on the topic of the so called "natural supplement market" Claiming ignorance is not
an acceptable excuse when you fail a drug test due to a "natural supplement" you purchased over the counter.
It seems as if every day there is a new product that hits the market that claims similar results to that of anabolic steroids.
The only difference being that it's allowed to be marketed as a natural product. In many cases it is a natural product
but beware of the ingredients.
This is where you need to step up to the plate and take the time to research the product and the ingredients. Often
time's powerful natural products are on the market only as long as it takes the FDA to catch up with the manufacture.
Once the dangers and inconsistency's in the product are discovered it is removed immediately from the shelf's. If you
are one of the unlucky athletes who believed your local vitamin store owners sales pitch your next test results just may
not be what you expected. Failing a drug test is the last thing on your mind and the last thing you think could ever
happen
to you. Guess what, it happens and it can happen very easily due to today's fast paced supplement market industry.
Real testing, Real Natural, Real athletes at teh INBA we stand behind that statement. We also have always looked at our athletes as a big family and are committed to doing everything we can to insure that your competitive stay with us is not only successful but thoroughly enjoyable. So beware of the so called "natural supplements".
Some tips that you can use to help avoid any unfortunate events in the future are:
Number One: Always research the product and each individual ingredient thoroughly.
Number Two: Contact the manufacture and ask if any of the ingredients listed in the product is banned currently by the IOC. Also get the individuals name that you are dealing with that is representing the company.

Number Four: Most importantly JUST SAY NO! Natural Bodybuilding is meant to be a lifestyle practiced by elite athletes 24/7. Quick
fixes and magic pills will never replace the blood, sweat and tears it takes to produce a champion. When it
comes to supplements stick
to the basics, isolate protein powders, amino acids, multi vitamin and minerals. Patience, perserverence, discipline, dedication, you
will never find those ingredients listed in the Hall of Shame.

at the end of 2007. I'd say that's a great way to end the year. And, most recently, BB.com selcted me as the Transformation of the

I'd say that's a great end to the year and begin another- don't you? In ever growing exciting things to come for the ABA/INBA/PNBA

INBA NATURAL ATHLETES IN THE NEWS!!!!!
It's a safe guess that most women in their 60s are in no hurry to parade around in public in a bikini and high heels.
Dixie James, a 64-year-old retired San Rafael schoolteacher, has no problem with it, though. One look at her muscled, toned, statuesque body, and it's easy to see why.
James has won seven amateur bodybuilding contests against women her age in such categories as "Ms. Figure," "Ms. Physique" and "Sports Model."
She owes her award-winning shapeliness to weight lifting - a life-changing, as well as a body-altering, activity she took up a year ago.
"I never would have believed that lifting weights would actually re-shape the body," she says one morning at Gold's Gym in Corte Madera after a workout. "It's made me stronger, more toned and looking better. My husband tells me I look better now than when I was 25, and I really believe that."
Because of her success, James earned a place on the American Amateur Bodybuilding Association's Team USA, which will be flexing and posing against teams from 40 countries next week in the 10th Natural Universe Championship in Thessaloniki, Greece.
